• Gồm 3 phần chính:

  • Region
  • Availability Zones
  • Edge Networks

• Region:

  • Vùng vật lý, chứa nhiều AZs.
  • Focus: low latency, high throughput, and highly redundant networking.

• AZ:

  • Mỗi AZ trong 1 Region phải cách nhau ít nhất 100km → Focus highly availability, fault tolerance, and scalability.
  • Chứa một hoặc nhiều data centers, each with redundant power, networking, and connectivity, housed in separate facilities.

• Edge Networks of Point-of-Presence:

  • Edge Locations + Regional Edge Caches: Cho phép deploy content with low-latency
  • PoP serves as an access point that allows two different networks to communicate with each other.
  • CDN
  • Used by Cloudfront and LambdaEdge
